Relieve Your Chicken Illness With The Power Of Turmeric
We are about to give some herbal accounts for turmeric since lately everyone is discussing this family of ginger as a spice for holiday. The herbal benefits of the turmeric had already rooted way back in the ancient times that can cure inflammation and this is not just for humans but also good for animals as well.
Turmeric powder is yellow in color which contains
curcumin that had been found scientifically to fight against cancer and heart
attacks. This needs to be dried and ground into powder texture for convenient
use and is a miraculous healer that had proven over time. Turmeric relieves
German shepherd dogs with their joint pains by simply sprinkling it on their
food to reduce the pain and compared to the steroid shots that most
veterinarian would give to a dog to relieve their pain and swelling, the
turmeric is a cheaper alternative that can be found on your kitchen.
Chickens and other poultry animals like ducks, birds, and
geese also suffer and prone of injuries on their feet so we might as well to
prepare and have some ready for treatment before it makes even worse and limits
their mobility. It is also rich in Vitamin E, and it has antioxidant and
antiseptic properties that could resist many serious illnesses of animals that
sometimes could lead to their death. This will relieve indigestion and some
injuries they got when predators and mouse attack them on their cage.
Important To Be Mindful Of Administering Turmeric For
Poultry Animals
Though turmeric is known for its many health and herbal
benefits, you should remember that excessive feeding can cause thinning of
blood and slows the blood clotting that is why the recommended dosage is only 1
teaspoon for every 10 pounds weight. If your chicken does not yet reach that
weight, then better divide it or you can settle for one-third or one-half of a
teaspoon for safer treatment.
How To Treat Poultry Animals With Turmeric
You can simply whisk it with some coconut oil and add a
brisk amount of pepper to the mixture and let it cool. Adding pepper to it will
increase the chicken's absorption of nutrients in general and helps aid all
stomach acids or you can have it mix with oatmeal and feed it to them. You can
also add it in the scrambled egg as in this way, you can easily feed it to
them. Incorporating turmeric into their diet once in a while will definitely
multiply your poultry animals in fast numbers that you can keep and take care
of. If unsure, you can always consult your veterinarian before administering
any herbs to your animals.
